The magic I have learned (and which you can learn too) merely adds value. Something which has no value (nobody wants it) is suddenly transformed into something having value (people want it.)

This kind of magic is elusive. It happens so fast. Right in front of your eyes. Yet you might miss it.You may not even notice it.

For example:

I take a piece of paper (worth maybe 10 cents). Using an airbrush and pens, I write on it, and suddenly you want it, and you are willing to pay money for it.

Another example:

I take some old newspaper pages from a recycling box, roll them up, tear it, and demonstrate how, by pulling on the torn pieces, it becomes a tree. Right in front of your eyes. Eight feet high. "Wow..That's amazing! " everybody shouts. Suddenly the newspaper has value. Children scream "Can I have it?" 

I don't know how it works. Even though I say I am a magician, I don't actually do the magic. I just write names, tear paper, tell stories, paint your arm, or draw a picture.  You do the magic. You pay attention. You are amazed as the things I make suddenly become valuable to you. Not to me. Your delight is what I seek.

Being an artist, working in public is a lot like the flowers and the bees. On the one hand the flowers have to get pollinated, but the bees have no interest in that. They want nectar, so the flowers provide nectar for the bees, and in the process both the flowers and the bees get what they want. In the same way I have to make a living, and you have no interest in that, so I provide pictures and services which have value to you, and we both get what we want.

I like it that way. There's love in it..
